Dr. Rosalyn Gates has worked in the field of education for over 40 years in public, private, and laboratory school teaching experiences from early childhood to post secondary levels of education. Rosie earned her Master of Arts degree from Ball State University and the Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction in Science Education from The Pennsylvania State University. While serving as an Assistant Professor of Education and Coordinator of the Masters of Education Off-campus Graduate Program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Gates received the IUP College of Education Faculty Recognition Award as Most Outstanding Teacher/Scholar. Dr. Gates served as Dean of the College of Education at Bacone College, Oklahoma, where she received the 2005 Presidential Award for the Most Influential Teacher of the Year. She's a published author, workshop conductor, and has presented at numerous conferences and professional association meetings. Dr. Gates and her husband, Jeryl, have 2 married sons, 4 grandchildren. Currently, she is teaching her passion, Science, at CSCL Elementary.
