Rita Springer has been playing piano and writing music since the age of 11. "I remember not being able to talk to anyone about how I felt, but I could sing anything to God," she recalls. "I now realize that the Lord was preparing me to minister through music." Recording her song, "Make Us A Prayer" on the Touching the Father's Heart Num. 12 - Throne of Grace album, led to Rita's involvement with the Vineyard Music Group. There she was able to pursue her calling as a worship leader. During this time of writing and recording, Rita started her own Kindred Joy label and released two independent CD's just prior to signing with Floodgate Records. Rita currently travels upwards to 40 weekends a year, leading worship and teaching worldwide. Although Rita has led worship for thousands, she has stayed true to an audience of ONE. On December 1st, 2004, Rita adopted her son, Justice Zane Anesu Springer. Rita and Justice reside in North Carolina, where Rita bases her ministry out of Fire Church. |
